(13)A cold-steel longsword whose blade is speckled with pale, lunarlike pitting. It hums softly in silence.
A tattered dark cloak threaded with tiny, silvery motes that shimmer like distant eyes.
Leather gauntlets sewn with curved iron plates that vibrate faintly when touched.
A small shield that seems to be made of woven shadow; light glances off it but leaves no mark.
Softboots lined with shadowy fur; they muffle sound to a supernatural degree.
A small glass vial sealed with wax. The liquid inside is deep crimson and seems to pulse faintly.
A thin ring of dull silver engraved with a single, leering mouth.
A brass lantern whose light is cold and blue. It never consumes oil while lit.
A slim black book with shifting script on its cover. Words inside rearrange when read aloud.
An onyx locket that when opened displays a shifting name in silver script.
A slim deck of six matte-black cards, each printed with a different skeletal motif.
A brass compass whose needle points toward 'true desire' rather than north.
A sliver of black glass that seems to swallow a candle's flame when brought close.
Morrow Vale
Shop Atmosphere
“The shop sits in a narrow alley lit by a single moon-silver lamp that never gutters. Shelves are arranged like ribbing, and items are tagged with names in a shaky, soot-black script. Morrow Vale, the proprietor, greets customers with an unreadable smile and offers tea that tastes like old stories. They insist all items are 'helpful, in useful ways' and add in a hushed voice that 'every bargain has a heartbeat.' The shop hums with soft whispering; sometimes, purchased items seem to remember where they came from and slip back into the shop at night. Morrow prefers to haggle with promises rather than coin and will sometimes trade if the party offers a secret, a memory, or a promise to carry out a task of moral ambiguity. Buyers are cautioned: attunement may be required, and Remove Curse is sold separately (if sold at all).”
