Shop Atmosphere
“The Traveler's Trinket & Keepsake is a narrow, sunlit shop nestled between a bakery and a tanner. Shelves rise to the ceiling and are cluttered with postcards, carved miniatures, bundled ropes, and glass globes that catch the light. The counter is polished pewter and always has a shallow dish of stamped brass coins labeled 'For Good Luck'. From the back comes the low sound of a music box and the scent of pine oil. The owner, Marta Finnbar, is a human bard of level 3 who once traveled as a caravan storyteller. Marta wears layers of scarves collected from every place she has visited and speaks with the practiced ease of someone who trades stories as well as goods. She loves to swap travel tips for a cup of tea and a tale. Marta keeps a ledger of where each souvenir was sourced and will offer small lore about an item to customers who ask. She has an odd habit of humming sea shanties while she polishes items and will wrap purchases in old travel maps if she thinks the buyer will use them on the road.”
