Weapons5

A common steel dagger with a lightweight mithral rim to balance the blade—Brimbly's favorite for close work.

Slightly lighter than a standard dagger; grants advantage on sleight-of-hand checks to remain unobtrusive (+1 flavor, no mechanical bonus).

Sturdy shortsword with a knurled grip and a tiny counterweight in the pommel for fine thrust control.

Ergonomic grip grants comfortable handling (+1 to improvised checks to tie or catch if DM allows).

Light crossbow with an integrated winding mechanism; easier to span quickly but still requires a free hand to crank between shots.

Once per short rest, the clockwork can be pre-wound to allow a user to make a reload as a bonus action for 1 minute.

A handheld tinderbox of a gun: a gnomish prototype that fires a hard-headed bullet with a small pyric spark. Loud and unreliable but exciting.

Has 6 charges. Each shot consumes 1 charge. Regains charges at dawn. On a roll of 1 on the d20 attack, the pistol bursts and becomes unusable until repaired (requires tinker's tools, ). Considered an uncommon magic-like gadget.

A slung pouch and spring-wound sling designed to hurl stones faster and steadier than a hand-thrown sling.

Reload advantage: when used with a free hand to steady, the wielder can add +1 to attack rolls with the sling.
Armor3

Studded leather patched with extra rivets and reinforced seamwork to hold up to difficult conditions.

AC +12None beyond durable construction.

A light wooden shield rimmed with interlocking brass gears—purely decorative gears but well-made wood and metal work.

AC +2Once per long rest, you can engage a small locking cog to absorb a bit of force: gain +1 AC for 1 minute.

A compact metal shield embedded with a single humming cog. It's an in-shop prototype that Brimbly will part with if pressed.

AC +2Once per short rest, the shield can be triggered to grant the wielder resistance to bludgeoning damage for 1 round. Considered an uncommon/rare gadget—requires attunement if DM wishes.
Miscellaneous6

A hand-sized ceramic ball filled with layered powders; when shattered it produces a 10-foot radius cloud of thick smoke for 1 minute.

Functions like a small smoke grenade (obscures vision). Does not deal damage. Flammable contents—avoid in enclosed flammable spaces.

A compact set of tools favored by gnomish inventors—pliers, files, tiny hammers, spring clamps, and a set of miniature vices.

Proficiency with these grants advantage on checks to repair small clockwork devices and to make improvised repairs in the field (DM discretion).

A focused kit with spare cogs, spring coils, oiled pins and a small winding crank—useful for on-the-spot fixes to constructs and mechanical items.

Consumable over 5 uses; each use restores a broken clockwork device enough to function (temporary fixes) or grants +2 to a single Intelligence (Tinkerer's Tools) check to repair.

A hand-cranked reel with 50 feet of braided fiber line and a small iron hook—designed to stow in a belt pouch.

The crank allows a character to haul 250 lb with advantage on checks to climb the rope once per use (DM adjudicates).

Twenty wooden arrows with brass tips and fletched with stiffened feathers for better flight.

The reinforced tips improve durability; no mechanical bonus beyond lasting longer.

On-site mending of leather armor and straps—patches, rivets and reconditioning by Brimbly's talented hands.

Restores a suit of leather or a shield to full effectiveness; takes 1 hour.

Shop Atmosphere

Brimbly whistles in clockwork rhythms while he works; the shop smells of oil, hot metal, and lemon polish. Shelves rattle gently with small animated trinkets—tiny gear-birds that hop when customers touch a 'Test Me' button. Brimbly will often give a free oddball part with purchases (a spring, a brass cog, or a mysterious stamped disc) and insists customers try a short demonstration of any gadget before buying.
