Heavy shoes with replaceable studs for traction on ice or slick cobblestone. Favored by carriage horses and mountain pack animals.
Smaller, lighter shoes crafted for mules and ponies. Cheaper but durable for long caravans.
An axle that has been expertly re-bushed and iron-bound. Good for replacing a broken axle on a medium wagon; saves the cost of a brand-new axle.
A sturdy wooden wheel bound in iron. One wheel; can replace a broken wheel quickly if you have the axle and hub.
A robust pack saddle with straps and pouches for securing cargo on a beast of burden. Comfortable and balanced.
A comfortable saddle with reinforced stirrups and extra padding—preferred by merchants and guards who ride often.
A small kit with awl, needles, patches of leather, glue, and spare buckles to make on-the-road repairs.
A quick, temporary fix using tar and leather to protect a damaged hoof until proper shoeing can be done.
A well-sealed lantern with oil reservoir and chimney. Useful for night travel and signaling.
A sturdy two-wheeled cart for small loads, reinforced with iron bands and a locking latch. Ideal for traders and small parties.
A full-sized wagon for heavy loads and long caravans. Solid build with lockable chest and reinforced floor.
Brushes, combs, hoof pick, and curry stone bundled for daily care of mounts.
Strong leather length for reins, harnesses, or lashings. Good quality, tanned and oiled.
A well-forged set of farrier's tools: nippers, rasp, hammer, and clinching block. Professional grade.
A small carved wooden horseshoe charm blessed by the Thornwhistles. Meant to keep mounts calm and luckier on the road.
Small bells that attach to harnesses for signaling and keeping pace in caravans.
A week's standard feed for a single horse; oats and grain mixed with minerals.
Strip/clean and reshoe one horse with standard steel shoes. Includes cleaning, trimming, and nailing of shoes.
Labor and materials to repair a harness or bridle to safe working order.
Herbal salve used to soothe and promote healing in cracked or bruised hooves. Made from local herbs and beeswax.
Light barding for a riding horse—padded and trimmed for comfort, offering minimal protection and decoration.

Shop Atmosphere
“The shop is run by Brida and her adult daughter, Miri Thornwhistle (cheerful, quick with a story). They maintain a small yard behind the shop where they keep three resident work horses — one of which, 'Soot', will insist on following customers around. Brida hums old halfling road-songs while she works and slides a small sweet pastry to customers who book a repair; Miri collects tiny metal trinkets and will trade a curiosity for a story or a song. The shop's bell is actually a worn horseshoe that clangs with a pleasant, slightly offbeat ring.”
