Once per day the charm vibrates gently if a secret door or recently-hidden compartment is within 10 feet. The vibration is subtle and requires an Investigation or Perception check to notice.

A lantern with darkly tinted panes and a brass handle engraved with concentric lines.

Minor magical item. Once per short rest, when lit, the lantern casts a muted light that grants creatures within 10 feet advantage on Stealth checks to move silently for up to 10 minutes. The lantern's flame is quieter and produces no crackle while the effect lasts.

A packet of 'Guiding Cards' sold by the shopkeeper for travelers who fear becoming lost.

When a single card is burned, it explodes into harmless motes that briefly outline a simple map of the immediate area (up to 60 feet) for 1 minute. Once per long rest per pack of cards.

A little kit for marking walls and reading subtle magical tugs in the air.

The compass needle gives a faint tug toward recent disturbances of magic within 30 feet, but it is unreliable as a true north indicator while this pull is active.

A vial of 'Clarity Mist' distilled from river herbs; popular with investigators and weary judges.

When uncorked near a closed eye, the vial's scent grants a single creature advantage on one Insight or Perception check made to tell truth from falsehood (usable once).

“Shop Name: The Veiled Ledger. The shop is a narrow two-story building wedged between a bookseller and a hatmaker. Inside, shelves lean and paper tags dangle from almost every object. Lamps glow with a slow, breathing light and the air is scented with sandalwood and ink. Bookcases are half-filled with mundane manuals and half with blank, lock-stitched journals. Small signs in a tidy hand read 'Ask for assistance' in several languages. The owner, Thaddeus Corvyn, is a human warlock of level 3 with an eye for secrets. He wears a charcoal coat with many inner pockets and a brass monocle that magnifies more than sight. He speaks in soft, precise tones and seems genuinely amused by puzzles. Thaddeus will barter information, take old notes in exchange for discount, and occasionally trade an odd favor for a rare oddity. Strange things: a clockwork raven that repeats the last whispered name it hears, a chalk circle on the floor that hums when a lie is told nearby, and a selection of 'curiosities' kept behind the counter that are sold only after a brief riddle is answered.”
