Shop Atmosphere
“The Amber Phial smells of citrus, warm resin, and a faint ozone tang from volatile concoctions. Shelves of mismatched jars climb the walls from floor to ceiling, each labelled in Mirel's spidery hand with careful runes that shift if you look too long. A friendly orange cat named Fizz lounges in a hammock of braided silk above the counter and will bat at any coin left unattended. Mirel offers small discounts to parties who bring rare herb samples or empty crystal vials for reuse. The shop has one 'mystery cork' behind the counter: for 20% of an item's price Mirel will swap one bought item for a random potion of equal or lesser value he has in the back. The backroom sports a tiny greenhouse and a rack of notes where Mirel pins recipe tweaks recommended by traveling healers.”
