Armor6

A standard studded leather harness reinforced with brass rivets and small steam-tension bands to slightly stiffen the torso for added protection.

AC +12The steam-tension bands give a +1 boost to Dexterity (Stealth) checks when vents are sealed (DM adjudication).

Chain shirt woven with thin brass links and tiny heat-diffusion plates. Slightly heavier but better at resisting glancing blows.

AC +13Grants advantage on saves vs. being disarmed while worn (small internal clamps).

A one-handed brass-bodied buckler with a small, refillable ember-chamber that can flare briefly to dazzle.

AC +2Once per short rest, spend 1 minute to ignite the ember-chamber. For 1 minute, the wielder's next melee attack deals an extra 1 fire damage (small flare).

Heavy brass pauldrons fashioned with heat-diffusion fins and a small, always-warm ember-core. These pieces are the shop's signature—styled and blessed to lend the wearer a fiery resilience.

AC +1While worn, the pauldrons grant the wearer advantage on saving throws against exhaustion caused by heat and grants resistance to fire damage once per long rest for up to 1 minute. In addition, once per long rest, when the wearer would be reduced to 0 hp from fire or heat damage, they instead drop to 1 hp and the pauldrons emit a brief flare (smoke and sparks).

A breastplate forged from hammered steel and brass, laced with a faintly humming ember-core. Promises resilience and a small spark of fighting spirit.

AC +14While attuned and worn, grants resistance to fire damage. Once per long rest, the wearer can activate the ember-core to gain temporary hit points equal to + wearer’s Constitution modifier (minimum 1) as a reaction when dropping below half HP.

Reinforced greaves sewn with brass filaments and heat-resistant leather patches — inexpensive protection for boots and shins.

Grant +1 on saving throws vs effects that would knock the wearer prone (sturdy stance aided by spring clamps).
Weapons3

A well-balanced shortsword with a serrated internal cog that can catch and shift slightly to improve cutting against leather.

Blade edge holds residual heat better; on a critical hit the target takes an extra 1 fire damage.

A small, efficient handaxe with a copper inlay that glows faintly after exposure to heat.

If struck against a non-magical metal surface it sparks; useful for starting fires or impressing technicians.

A small dagger with a ceramic-coated point that resists heat and holds a glowing seam for visibility.

When used to pry a heated mechanism, grants +2 on applicable Intelligence (Tinker's Tools) checks (flavorful).
Miscellaneous4

A full kit of small tools, brass spare parts, springs and a collapsible mini-blowtorch—favored by inventors and armorers.

Grants a bonus to crafting time checks when repairing or modifying equipment in this shop (DM fiat).

Protective goggles with adjustable lenses that filter glare and the worst of smoke and ash.

Grants advantage on Perception checks in smoky or low-visibility environments for up to 1 hour per day (cumulative).

A small, stoppered glass vial of volatile oil that burns hot and bright for a short time.

As an improvised thrown weapon: on impact it splashes and ignites, dealing fire damage to the target and setting flammable unattended objects alight. May ignite again if a spark is present.

A small coiled spring used in repairs, sold in a small bag of ten for various tinkering needs.

Potions1

A small vial containing a viscous, copper-tinged liquid that soothes burns and closes minor wounds. Popular with foundry workers.

Heal 1 HPHeals hit points when applied. Additionally grants resistance to fire for 1 minute once applied (single use).

Shop Atmosphere

Gideon hums and times his sentences to the tick of hidden gears in the shop. He insists on polishing every purchase with the 'Waking Ember Cloth' and stamps a tiny brass cog on every sale. He offers a free tune-up within three days of purchase (no questions asked) and will barter services for uncommon mechanical trinkets or ingredients for his ember-cores.
