Shop Atmosphere
“Warm iron, singed leather, and the smell of coal greet visitors. Forgehand & Anvil sits on a sidestreet of cobbled lanes. The shop front is a blackened stone arch with swinging lamps. Inside a raised forge dominates the room; tools hang from pegboard and finished weapons lean on racks. Sparks fly often and the bell over the shop door clangs like a hammer. The smith, Brynna Forgehand, tends the fire between customers and greets regulars by their favorite hammer. Services: basic weapon sharpening 2 gp per blade, quick sheath re-riveting 5 gp, armor repairs 5 gp per hour (consumables extra), custom work quoted in advance. Brynna is a pragmatic artisan with a soft spot for travelers and a thin temper for thieves. She hums old dwarven anthems as she works and offers a cup of bitter ale to anyone who waits. She sometimes trades repair work for trinkets or favors if gold is scarce.”
