(19)A well-balanced longsword reclaimed from a champion's corpse. Scorch and tally marks run along the fuller.
A short blade nicked by many strikes. Perfect for scouts or duelists.
A long pike whose shaft is lacquered in salt and blood; the head is notched from parries.
A longbow taken from an archer who never missed a volley. The string is replaced but the stave is solid.
A quarterstaff taken from a master-at-arms; polished ash with battle-score carvings. Attunes to those who train with it.
A battered round shield reinforced with horn and iron, taken off a war leader's back.
A common red potion sealed with wax. Pulled from a squire's pouch mid-battle.
A sturdier crystal phial with a deep crimson liquid. Saved a captain once.
Five iron-tipped javelins bundled together. Each shows dents where they struck shields.
Scale mail with patched plates and a faded unit insignia. Still solid protection for front-line fighters.
A finely balanced blade stolen from a duelist who kept reciting poems as he fell. It hums faintly when drawn.
A charcoal-black torch that burns with a cold, pale flame. The fire illuminates without consuming fuel.
A heavy standard bound with strips of armor and a veteran's pennon. It's soaked with old sigils and battle honors.
A bronze medallion stamped with Kalen's monastery sigil. Worn by veteran sergeants.
Thick rope, slightly frayed at the ends — a staple of any adventurer's pack.
Dried meats, coarse bread, and salted fruit. Passed around in the field.
A small wooden box containing flint and charcloth; a simple necessity.
A standard torch: short-lived, bright, and sooty.
A single-use scroll written in tidy, patient script. Kalen sells it when he finds them in officer satchels.

Shop Atmosphere
“Kalen keeps the shop in a battered pavilion on the edge of the old battlefield. He polishes each piece in silence and will recount, without embellishment, the exact moment a weapon was taken. He refuses to sell items he deems dishonorable (weapons used to strike fleeing noncombatants, for example). He offers a discount (10%) if a buyer agrees to help return a fallen warrior’s name to the monastery ledger. Kalen occasionally meditates in the doorway; while he does, prices are not discussed until he finishes.”
