Miscellaneous8

A heavy canvas-backed parchment map, hand-inked and shaded, showing trails, elevation, landmarks and notable ruins within a 30-mile radius of Wayrest Hollow.

Gives advantage on Survival checks to navigate the mapped area once per day when consulted for at least 10 minutes.

A leather roll with waterproofing wax and inner pockets for up to 10 small maps, tools, and a spyglass lens.

Keeps maps safe from rain; opening the case carefully grants a bonus to Investigation checks to find a specific map tucked inside.

A reliable brass compass set in a hand-carved wooden shell shaped like an oak leaf.

Functions as a normal compass; once per long rest, if held and focused for 1 minute, it grants a bonus to the first Wisdom (Survival) check you make to find direction in natural terrain.

Three small vials of high-quality ink, two quills and an eraser blade for map corrections.

Inks are waterproof when sealed and applied on treated parchment; maps made with these inks count as 'waterproof' for game effects.

A pocket-sized map showing trails, streams, and notable features for a 5-mile square area chosen by the buyer (Thalorn will chart for an extra fee).

Grants +2 to the first Survival or Navigation check made while in the mapped area if consulted before travel each day.

A small wooden box with an intricate rune-lock and sliding compartments sized for map strips and notes.

Provides a bonus to checks to resist thieves' attempts to open or find contents if the box is closed and latched.

A pouch of pale powder that, when scattered, highlights recent footsteps and travel on soft ground for up to one hour.

When used by a creature proficient in Survival, grants advantage on one Tracking check (within one hour of use) to follow trails less than 24 hours old.

Single sheet of treated parchment suitable for ink or graphite; water-resistant when sealed.

Weapons2

A stout wooden staff carved with trail markers and a brass ferrule. Comfortable grip and balanced for travel.

When used as an improvised aid on Travel or Exploration checks, grants a bonus to those checks. Once per day, can be planted to cast Pass Without Trace centered on the wielder (as the spell).

A fine dagger with a slender blade used for cutting parchment and carving detail; the haft is decorated with miniature cartographic glyphs.

Functions as a regular dagger. When used to carve or cut maps or wood, reduces time on such tasks by half (DM's discretion).
Miscellaneous3

A small enchanted glyph inked into a map that reveals the outline of hidden doors and narrow passages in a mapped building or ruin once per month.

Once activated while adjacent to a map of the location, the map glows faintly and reveals hidden routes, secret doors, and one trap (if present) for 10 minutes.

A waist-high carved totem that points faintly toward the nearest natural spring when set in the ground.

When planted outdoors and invoked, the top carb points toward the nearest natural freshwater source within 5 miles for up to 8 hours. Usable once per week.

Small carved wooden charms strung on a cord; each can be placed on a map to denote a 'saved' location.

When attached to a non-magical map and pressed, the charm records the current location (must be physically present at the location). Later, holding the charm and the map shows a glowing marker on the map. Each charm can store a location once, and charms recharge after a long rest with a Arcana check to attune to a new site (Thalorn can bind locations for a 5 gp fee).
Potions1

A pot of aromatic salve made from tree saps and herbs. Soothes bruises and minor wounds.

Heal 1 HPHeals hit points when applied; also grants advantage on saving throws against becoming poisoned for 1 hour (once used).
Armor1

A practical cloak woven with map-pocketing and a hood; dyed in muted greens and browns to blend with forests.

AC +11Counts as studded leather (light armor) in quality but crafted for mobility: gives +1 to Stealth checks in natural terrain. Water-resistant finish.
Miscellaneous2

Thalorn will carve a small emblem, nameplate or trail marker from local wood within a day.

Thalorn will accompany the party or send sketches and an annotated map of a single ruin/structure within 12 miles and return with a detailed map and notes.

Maps produced include hidden-room likelihood estimates ( bonus to Investigation checks on-site if the party consults the map).

Shop Atmosphere

Thalorn always pads a shelf with a new miniature wooden squirrel carving that he insists brings 'good bearings'—he will gift one to customers who purchase a map over 10 gp. He hums an old trail-lore tune when measuring and will refuse to sell enchanted items to buyers who can't explain why they need them. The shop smells strongly of fresh wood shavings and cedar; a wall map behind the counter is annotated with tiny pins marking travelers who owe him a mug of cider.
