A stout, sea-salted dagger. Good for utility work and close defense.

Corrosion-resistant finish slows rusting in salt air.

A long iron tip on a reinforced shaft, made for catching large fish or tying to a rope and throwing.

Designed to hold when lodged; pairs with rope for hauling.

A single-handed axe with a polished, peat-darkened haft — useful as a tool or weapon.

Head forged from salt-tempered iron for extra edge retention.

A nimble blade favored by ship's hands and scouts — light and balanced for quick strikes.

Hilt wrapped in treated leather for grip when wet.

A three-pronged spear commonly used by coastal hunters; sturdy and versatile.

Balanced for both melee and thrown use.

A compact crossbow with tightened limbs and a rust-proofed windlass — popular with dock-guards.

Sealed components resist salt-spray corrosion.

A thin, flexible blade intended for fish and fine cutting work — doubled as a tool and weapon.

Fine edge good for delicate work; not ideal for heavy combat.
Miscellaneous12

Twenty iron-tipped bolts suitable for the light crossbow. Tips kept in oiled cloth.

Stored with anti-rust oil.

Twenty wooden arrows with iron heads; a basic supply for bows.

Oiled fletching to resist sea moisture.

Hammers, tongs, punches and a small portable anvil — basic for metalworking and repairs.

Owner's kit includes a cloth impregnated with anti-corrosion oil.

A set of heavy iron shoes for hooved mounts; rivets included.

Salt-tempered for longevity on rocky coast paths.

Forged iron hook with three barbed prongs and a heavy shank; pairs with rope to climb or secure boats.

Barbs hold well in rocky surfaces; oiled to avoid salt seizure.

Good-quality hemp rope, treated with tar so it resists rot and sea-spray for longer.

Tar treatment reduces slippage when wet.

A small flask of whale- or tallow-based oil, suitable for lanterns and campfires.

Burns longer due to heavier oil — smokier, but reliable.

A simple stick wrapped with oil-soaked cloth. Cheap and disposable.

Useful to scare off wildlife; prone to going out in strong spray.

A fine-grit stone for sharpening blades; Mira claims hers works as well on fish-hooks as on swords.

Regular use restores cutting effectiveness and reduces failed strikes due to dullness.

A tin of thick wax Mira uses to seal seams, armor joints, and wooden fittings against the sea.

Applied to gear: delays corrosion and prevents light water seepage for 24 hours of normal exposure.

A small iron spike that bolts to the face of a round shield, allowing the bearer to use it offensively.

Adds a small offensive option without removing shield's defense.

A thick, layered blanket for keeping warm on cold, windy docks and small boats.

Provides comfort and reduces chance of exposure-related penalties during a long rest in cold conditions.
Armor4

A sturdy round shield rimmed with iron and sealed with tar to repel water.

AC +2Tar sealing delays rot and reduces squeak when wet.

Soft leather armor that has been oiled and stitched for use in damp climates.

AC +11Waterproofing treatment reduces drying time; holds up better near salt water.

Leather armor studded with small iron plates — a favorite among smugglers and coastal rangers.

AC +12Reinforced studs have been treated against salt corrosion.

A heavy oilcloth cloak with a hood; sheds spray and rain and dries faster than ordinary cloth.

Keeps wearer dry in storms; dampness-related disadvantages are reduced at the DM's discretion.

Shop Atmosphere

The Brine & Bellows sits on a narrow slip between a fish-scented quay and the town's ironworks. Salt-streaked windows, the constant hiss of steam and the tang of tar greet visitors. Mira Tann — a compact, sun-leathered human with steel-grey braid and singed fingertips — runs the place. She hums old dock-shanties while she works, favors hot tea spiked with salt and peppermint, and will repair a fisher's hook in exchange for a good story of the sea. She trusts customers who bring trinkets from shipwrecks, and offers a modest discount to sailors and small folk who can fix a kettle hearth in her absence. Beware: Mira counts nails by touch and will insist you try the weight of any blade before buying; she dislikes the cry of gulls in her bellows-room and keeps a pot of brine near the forge to quench tempering iron the old coastal way.
