Smooth vellum treated to accept arcane inks; resists smudging and common magical wear for up to a year.

Improves scribing success by +1 if used by a trained scribe.

A bottle of dark, slightly viscous ink that can hold the essence of a single cantrip or 1st-level spell for easy scribing.

When used to inscribe a scroll, reduces scribing time by half for spells of 1st level or lower.

A padded leather case lined with faintly warded cloth. Keeps up to 6 scrolls safe from moisture and mundane wear.

Once per week, if a stored scroll would be destroyed by water or normal fire, the case negates the destruction.

Non-magical historical scroll showing ancient battlefield topography; when consulted, grants advantage on History checks related to the area.

If laid upon the ground and read for 10 minutes, gives a one-time bonus: +2 to initiative rolls for allies who study it for 1 minute before a planned engagement in the region it maps.

A pinch of silvery powder applied to a scroll prevents magical decay and fading for thirty days.

Useful for smuggling/transporting valuable scrolls across harsh climates or planes.
Miscellaneous9

Single-use scroll to cast Haste on one target (1 minute).

Grants the full Haste benefits; if used by a non-spellcaster, Arcana to avoid wasting the scroll.

If used to counter a spell of 4th level or higher, the reader makes an Arcana check (DC = 10 + spell level) to succeed.

One-use scroll that casts Dimension Door, transporting you and one willing creature up to 500 feet.

If read by someone whose class list doesn't include the spell, Arcana to activate without mishap.

Single-use scroll casting Greater Invisibility on one creature for up to 1 minute.

If a non-spellcaster attempts to use it, Arcana ; failure wastes the scroll and emits a ghostly shimmer that reveals the user for 1 round.

One-use scroll that conjures an invisible, impervious wall of force as per the spell.

Powerful defensive tool; non-spellcasters must pass Arcana or the wall appears briefly and then collapses.
Miscellaneous2

Mereth will transcribe a spell you possess (spellbook, known spells, or formula) into a usable scroll. Materials and special inks included for up to 3rd-level spells.

Shop Atmosphere

Mereth talks to her quills as if they're pets; she'll offer a 5% discount to anyone who brings a 'story' in verse (a 6-line poem about their last adventure). She refuses to scribe spells she deems ethically dubious (laws of the host city apply) and will loudly scold patrons who try to buy Wall of Force for 'pranks'. If challenged on price, she produces a small parchment labeled 'Mereth's Market Rate' and quotes it with theatrical indignation.
