Ironthumb Armory & Forge sits on a smoky side street near the barracks; hammer strikes echo from a well-used forge. Brundir Ironthumb is a squat, impeccably bearded dwarf with burn-scarred arms and a missing front tooth he uses for emphasis when he grins. He fought as a militia sergeant in his youth and still plates occasional shipments with warded runes brushed on to keep steel from spoiling—nothing overtly magical, he says, just 'good blacksmithing and old dwarven tricks.' Quirks: Brundir will haggle on bulk orders but rarely on single items unless you're a repeated customer. He offers to test-blade any sword in the alley (if the buyer pays for the target). He hums an old marching tune while working; if you bring him a broken heirloom he'll accept a trade-in (25% of the repair cost off) and tells stories of the 'big one that got away'—a battle scar tied to a rumor of a lost warhammer he keeps teasing travelers about.
