“Brynja hums low dwarven anthems while she works; the shop smells of hot metal and pine. The front bell is a carved ice crystal that never melts — it rings with a deep, bell-like chime when struck. Small patches of frost gather on the floor near the forge; Brynja keeps a warming rug by the door for guests who are 'too warm' (she considers warm-blooded politeness). She often accepts trade-in scrap metal, a vial of bottled winter air (for her process), or uncommon cold-weather trinkets in place of full coin. Brynja tests finished blades by freezing a droplet of water on the edge — the imprint left is her mark of quality.”
