Shop Atmosphere
“The shop smells of hot iron and oak smoke. Brom keeps a small brazier near the counter and will sometimes warm customers' hands in winter. He constantly taps a hammer rhythm on the counter when thinking and will only lower his prices if you can answer a short riddle about forges or family—he's sentimental about dwarven smithing lore. He offers free minor inspections (visual-only) for adventurers who present trophies of a real fight (bent arrowhead, claw fragment, etc.). Brom dislikes thieves and will loudly proclaim any attempt to underpay, sometimes demanding a deposit for expensive commissions.”
