“Iron Anvil & Forge sits at the bend of a cobbled street, its windows clouded with soot and a steady pulse of heat visible at the open doorway. Inside the air smells of coal, oil, and hot metal. Rows of tools hang from the walls, finished blades lean against a rack, and a shallow basin of cooling water steams near the back. Melodies of hammer on steel keep the rhythm of work. The shopkeeper, Brenna Ironhand, is a broad-shouldered dwarf with streaks of grey braided into her beard and a pair of spectacles perpetually pushed up on her brow. She is a seasoned fighter in her youth and now runs the forge with a craftsman's pride. Brenna treats customers fairly but brusquely. She offers repair services, basic adventuring gear, and a handful of practical magical trinkets she or an apprentice has managed to imbue. Brenna enjoys bartering for interesting materials and will often trade a small discount for raw ore or unusual scrap. She hums old forging songs while working and insists every blade leave the shop balanced and true.”
