A reinforced harpoon with a carved barnacle pommel. Salt-stained and razor sharp.

Atk This harpoon is balanced for throwing and fishing. When you score a critical hit while targeting a creature that is Large or smaller and in or on water, the target is restrained by the harpoon until it frees itself or the harpoon is removed.
Miscellaneous10

A stoppered crystal decanter that always sloshes as if containing water. Useful for fresh water at sea or blasting a deck with a geyser.

Speak one of three command words to produce fresh or salt water: Stream (1 gallon), Fountain (5 gallons), Geyser (30 gallons; can target creature or object; Strength save to resist being knocked prone/pushed; lasts until start of next turn).

A delicately forged collar of woven shells and sea-glass beads. Lets the wearer breathe where others cannot.

While worn you can breathe normally in any environment and you have advantage on saving throws against harmful gases and inhaled poisons and similar effects.

A snug knit cap lined with algae-silk. When wet its stitching glows faintly.

While wearing the cap underwater and speaking its command word you create a bubble of air around your head that allows you to breathe until you remove the cap or speak the word again.

A simple silver band engraved with tiny waves. Feels cool to the touch.

While wearing this ring you can stand on and move across liquids as if they were solid ground.

A battered sea-sack stitched with arcane runes. Holds far more than it appears to.

Interior space larger than its outside. Holds up to 500 lb and 64 cubic feet. Retrieving an item takes an action. Dangerous interactions with other extradimensional items apply.

A short iron rod with a brass button capped by a carved crab. Pressing the button locks it solid.

Press the button to fix the rod in place; it can hold up to 8,000 lb. A Strength check can move it 10 feet.

A brass compass with a face of mother-of-pearl. The needle trembles when near powerful currents.

Grants a bonus to Survival checks to navigate coastal waters or open sea. Once per long rest the compass can identify the direction and strength of the nearest major current or tidal flow up to 1 mile away, granting advantage on the first check to follow or avoid it.

A heavy iron grapnel with runes along its shank and a coiled azure line designed to resist salt and rot.

When thrown and anchored, the grapnel automatically cinches and holds up to 1,000 lb. Grants advantage on checks to secure the line on slick or moving surfaces. Can retract the line up to 30 ft as a bonus action once per short rest.

A brass spyglass wrapped in blubber-leather. Looking through it shows the sea far clearer than the eye alone.

When used to look across or under water grants +2 to Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks to spot features or objects up to 120 ft away. The lens can clarify murky waters once per short rest, negating heavy obscurity in a 30 ft cone.

A boxed kit of shipboard basics for any small crew or landlubber trying to pass as one.

Includes: 50 ft of hemp rope, tarred oilskin cloak, coil of silk rope (10 gp value), set of grappling hooks, tar bucket and grease, 10 days of hardtack and salted meat preserved for travel.

Shop Atmosphere

The Salty Rivet Armory perches on a creaking pier at the edge of the harbor. Its sign is a riveted brass anchor wrapped in kelp. Inside, the air smells of oiled wood, sea-salt, and solder. Racks of harpoons and tridents line the walls beside chests of gleaming scale armor and nets braided with runic thread. Sea-glass lamps cast wavering blue light; a tidepool built into the counter contains a small caretaker octopus that fetches dropped coins. Captain Mirela Saltvein runs the shop with precise, weathered efficiency. She is a triton artificer of the sea, level 12, who earned her reputation refitting privateer ships and calming hulls after storms. Mirela favors patrons who barter with stories of honest seamanship and inspects every item personally before sale. Quirks: She polishes metal with seawater and kelp oil; she stamps every receipt with a tiny anchor; when bargaining she hums an old reef shanty to measure a customer's honesty.
