The shopkeeper, Mera Fallow, keeps a battered ledger where she scribbles trade-ins in a neat, cramped hand and tucks useful bargains behind jars of pickled mushrooms. A gray cat named Soot sleeps on the counter and will judge your haggling. Mera has a soft spot for travelers: she offers small discounts to those who tell a good road tale, but she tests would-be buyers with practical questions about gear care. She will barter in favors for rare ingredients, and she refuses to sell poisons or items she thinks will be used to prey on townsfolk.
