Miscellaneous9

A sturdy coil of hempen rope. Frayed in places but reliable.

Dried meat, hard cheese, and tough biscuits packed to last a day.

Well-sealed waterskin, slightly scented of sea-brine.

Simple wooden torch with pitch-wrapped head.

A locket with a cloudy portrait inside. Attractive at first glance, but it clings to its bearer.

Curse: Once worn, the locket cannot be removed by the wearer without a remove curse or similar magic. While worn, wearer has disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks involving vision — they see things ‘through the eyes’ of the pictured person occasionally.

A tarnished lantern whose light shimmers with green-blue hues and smells faintly of seaweed.

Magical light: emits dim light in a 30-foot radius and can be tuned to either warm (normal) or brackish (ghostly) light. Once per long rest, can cast fog cloud (as the spell) centered on the lantern.

A palm-sized statue of a hunched figure carved from dark stone. It hums faintly at night.

Minor curse: Every night while the statue is within 10 feet of a sleeping creature, that creature dreams of being watched. After three nights, the watched creature gains a -1 penalty to initiative rolls until removed from their sleeping area for 24 hours or the statue is dispensed.

Scraps of maps with portions of coastline, ruins, or scribbled notes. Some are accurate, others deliberately misleading.

If the DM chooses, piecing together two or more fragments can reveal a clue to a local ruin or hidden cache (DM fiat).

A small leather roll with files, oil, and a set of pliers — good for field repairs and sharpening.

Armor2

A battered metal helmet with an attached charred lamp bracket; surprisingly snug.

AC +1When lit (requires torch or oil), grants dim light in a 10-foot radius.

A delicate cloak patterned with pale wing-marks. It flutters slightly even without wind.

Purely cosmetic: once per long rest, wearer gains advantage on a Charisma (Performance) check involving dancing or fluttering movement for up to 1 minute.
Weapons2

A rusted gaff with a splintered shaft. With a short repair it can serve as a spear-like tool.

A finely-balanced shortsword whose edge glints with a faint silver seam. Not flashy, but effective.

Atk This is a +1 weapon (adds +1 to attack and damage rolls).
Potions2

A small crystalline vial filled with a warm red liquid that mends flesh.

Heal 2 HPCommon Healing Potion: Heals hit points when consumed (standard D&D 5E potion of healing).

A cloudy amber vial said to have been mixed from the salt of a drowned caveman’s tears; grants a brief surge of vitality.

When consumed, grant temporary hit points that last 1 hour. Once used, the vial becomes inert.

Shop Atmosphere

The shop is a small, crowded space smelling of salt, old paper, and beeswax. Shelves are mismatched and tagged in Aubrey’s looping script; many price tags come with a short story. Aubrey will often interrupt sales to embellish an item's origin, sometimes changing details halfway as the customer's imaginations grow. She collects promises to listen to one full tale in exchange for a modest discount. Occasionally a curious item will 'click' or hum during storytelling — whether by design or coincidence is part of the shop's charm.
