Shop Atmosphere
“Mera keeps a ledger with notes about frequent adventurers and will barter against curios (old coins, monster teeth, odd maps). The shop smells faintly of cinnamon and oil; a grey tomcat named Soot often sleeps on the counter and will insist on a nap on top of any pack you set down. Mera will give a small discount (typically 5%) to honest travelers who help with a doorstep chore or provide a lead on a trading route; she dislikes loud displays of magic in the shop and posts a hand-painted sign asking customers to 'please, no spells indoors.'”
