A loose shirt and rough breeches, patched and smudged with road dust. Stitched with mismatched thread; serviceable for city travel or a quick disguise.

A full traveling outfit: boots, sturdy coat, hooded cloak. The cloth smells faintly of peat smoke and oil.

A once-fine coat with embroidered trim and a lining of threadbare silk. Fits a noble who has fallen on hard times.

An ostentatious costume, useful for performances, disguises, or distracting an audience. Sequins are partially missing.

Simple robes that once belonged to a city scribe. Light and comfortable for casting or study.

A heavy blanket frequently sold with traveling outfits. Smells faintly of lavender and tar.

The Shroud of Night's Breath appears to drink light. Locals whisper that it remembers the breath of those who died in Khromarium's sewers.

While hood is worn in darkness the wearer gains +2 to Stealth checks. Curse: while hood is worn, the wearer has -1 penalty to Charisma checks in social interactions. Removing the hood ends the effects immediately.

Sturdy travel boots stained with mud and salt. Good tread remains and the insoles have been replaced once.

A half-mask trimmed with back feathers from a city raven. Popular with thieves' theatrics and beggar-play actors.

Once per long rest, while worn during a performance the wearer gains advantage on one Performance check. Does not stack with similar effects.

A tailor's thimble with a tiny rune etched inside. It hums when near torn cloth.

Once per day, the thimble channels a mending effect that instantly repairs a torn garment or restores points of damage to leather gear over the course of an hour.

A ramshackle bag of trinkets and fastenings the proprietor keeps as change for trades and repairs.

A cracked porcelain mannequin head with charcoal-penciled features; worn as display but rumored to whisper when the wind comes from the north.

Armor3

Quilted layers of cloth form this light armor. It offers basic protection but is unpleasant in hot weather and gives disadvantage on stealth.

AC +11

A battered leather cuirass with straps that have been carefully relaced. Good starter armor for new adventurers.

AC +11

Mavra's Patchwork Jerkin: a stitched-together jerkin made from many garments. It looks ugly and practical in equal measure.

Once per long rest, the wearer may gain advantage on one Stealth check. No attunement required. The patchwork hums faintly at night.

Shop Atmosphere

The Ragged Thimble sits in a leaning rowhouse in the west quarter of Khromarium City in Hyperborea. Lantern light pools against stained glass, and mannequins with cracked porcelain faces leer from every shelf. The air smells of boiled wool, stale tea, and coal smoke. Strands of dark seaweed and raven feathers hang from the low beams. Behind the counter sits the proprietor, who mends with deliberate, tiny motions and watches customers as if reading their hems. The shop buys and takes in trade more often than it sells for coin, and Mavra keeps a ledger of debts bound in leather that is never far from reach. Pay is accepted in copper, silver, electrum, gold, or a useful scrap of fabric. Strange garments accumulate here: some hum faintly, others still hold the scent of old rituals. Mavra offers repairs for a discounted coin, will quietly remove a stolen trim for a price, and is rumored to be able to stitch a garment to hide small talismans or wards.
