(15)A frothy, slightly sweet amber ale brewed by Marta's cousin. Restorative to morale after a hard day, served in a chipped clay mug.
A hearty stew of root vegetables, salted fish, and bay herbs. Keeps bellies full through a watch.
A spot in the common room on a pallet with a blanket and a curtained nook. Locks are not provided.
A fiery spirit made from kelp sugar and juniper. Strong, with a lingering salty aftertaste. Popular with sailors.
A metal-framed lantern with a glass globe and hood; provides steady light for 6 hours on a full flask of oil.
Basic wool bedroll, damp-resistant. Comfortable enough for a night on deck or on the tavern floor.
Dried fish, hard biscuit, and preserved fruit. Keeps for weeks if stored dry.
A small, warming broth kept for injured sailors — helps stave off shock and cold.
A bundle of three small jars of pickled fish — good for trading with dockworkers and picky patrons.
A basic wooden torch. Burns for about an hour, providing bright light in a 20-foot radius.
A tiny carved wooden fish on a leather thong. Superstition says it keeps you from losing small items overboard.
A handful of awls, waxed thread, spare leather patches and tarred rope for emergency repairs on sails, clothing, or small gear.
Marta will hold a small item (like a letter, coin pouch, or trinket) in a locked chest behind the bar for one week.
A small vial of red liquid. Heals minor wounds when consumed (+ HP as per standard Potion of Healing).
A short, well-oiled blade with a leather-wrapped pommel used for cutting rope and defense.

Shop Atmosphere
“The Salted Tankard smells of brine and lemon peel. Marta keeps a battered brass bell over the register; ringing it three times brings her out of the kitchen singing an old sailor's shanty. She refuses gold coin from obvious nobles unless they wear boots that smell like the sea, and she'll barter one evening's stay for a true tale of a sea-bound monster (good stories earn a free mug). The tavern cat, Gull, is allowed on the tables and will occasionally 'test' strangers by pawing at their coin purses.”
