Shop Atmosphere
“The forge sits at the back of a narrow alley and throws warm, orange light into the street when the bellows are going. Metal sings here: anvil strikes follow the rhythm of the proprietor's humming. The shop keeps a small board of 'wanted' repairs and a shelf of odd trinkets reclaimed from clients' pieces. The owner accepts coin, trade, or a favor to be collected later. On full moons the bellows are tied with a blue strip of cloth, a superstitious habit that appears to calm the forge's temper.”
