“Roger of Drask runs the shop with the patience of a mountain. He's quietly kind: he'll frequently give small repairs or a potion to honest travelers who can't pay. He loves to haggle in stories rather than coin — offering trade tasks (carry a crate, test a prototype) in lieu of payment. His pet panther, Claws, lounges on the counter, permitting customers to pet her only if they speak to her in a low, respectful voice. Everything in the shop is priced extremely low by city standards (nothing over 50 gp) but of remarkably high quality — Roger says he prefers dependable arms to fat purses. He will occasionally refuse to sell an item if he thinks a buyer will use it for needless cruelty.”
