Haldric Stoneforge
Shop Atmosphere
“Stoneforge Armory occupies a low, soot-streaked building near the barracks. The air is warm with the scent of coal and hot iron; a steady chorus of hammer on anvil echoes inside. Haldric Stoneforge – short, barrel-chested, beard threaded with silver – runs the place with military precision. He was a garrison armorer before opening his shop and insists every weapon leaves properly balanced and every armor riveted twice. He tattoos a tiny rune on repeat customers' weapons for free. Haldric has a soft spot for young adventurers: he offers a free sharpening and advice on maintenance with any weapon purchase. Quirk: Haldric refuses to sell to anyone who refuses to let him test the edge (he always does a quick, harmless strike against the training post to demonstrate balance). He hums an old dwarven marching tune when busy and will barter repairs or a favor for an odd trinket or a story from the field.”
