A fat tabby cat named Soot sleeps on the scales and will accept ear scratches for a discount. Mira keeps a faded map under the counter of rumored 'good trade routes' and has a soft spot for new adventurers—she offers an extra ration or a free torch to anyone who promises to return with a tall tale. She measures prices in gold but will barter for rare trinkets, stories, or useful handiwork. Occasionally misplaces a price tag and will loudly haggles with herself until a customer chooses whether to 'win' the bargain.
