Maris Wren greets customers with a little bow and a quick charm—she offers to test scrolls and potions on inert targets for free, but will insist on sealing purchased items in wax. She dislikes haggling over magical safety and will refuse service to those who break bottles in her shop. A brass bell shaped like a tiny owl announces customers; if the bell rings three times, Maris gets distracted remembering a spell line and will hum until interrupted.
