Miscellaneous5

A supple satchel of black velvet whose lining sometimes smells faintly of peat and moonwater. It holds far more than its size would allow. Drawback: faint whispering at night that can keep light sleepers from resting; once per week a single small, useful item from the bag wanders out at dawn and cannot be recovered without a locate spell.

Typical Bag of Holding properties; fits far more than its outside dimensions.

A thin band of hammered silver engraved with ivy. It settles warm and comfortable. Drawback: the ring keeps a soft, private vigil; once per day it murmurs a fey reminder that distracts the wearer (minor fading of concentration: the wearer suffers disadvantage on one skill check of the owner's choice within the hour).

AC +1Wearer gains +1 to AC and +1 to saving throws while attuned.

A hand lantern of smoked glass filled with a slow-turning mote. It paints outlines in pearlescent light. Drawback: using the lantern marks the user in the minds of nearby fey; for 24 hours fey- aligned creatures can find the user more easily and will often address the user unbidden.

Lantern sheds a faint melodic whisper audible only to its bearer.

A length of vellum inked in curling script that smells faintly of roses and rain. Drawback: the speaker loses the ability to swear oaths for 24 hours; any oath they take in that time is painfully hollow and treated as non-binding by many fey.

The parchment dissolves into dust upon use.

A porcelain pot holding a single luminescent flower that opens to moonlight. Drawback: the plant draws attention; small wasplike fey are attracted and may sting a caretaker once per week, dealing minor damage and annoyance.

The bloom thrives on stories told aloud near it.
Weapons2

A narrow rod of pale willow inlaid with mother-of-pearl runes. It fires unerring bolts of force. Drawback: each use leaves a faint trail of glittering motes that linger for a minute and can betray your position in darkness; when the wand loses its last charge it might also attract a curious fey who will demand repayment.

Allows casting of Magic Missile using charges (1 charge = 1st-level; increase level by spending extra charges). No attunement.

A short sword whose blade is dark iron threaded with thorned vines that curl along the fuller. Drawback: each time the extra thorn damage is used the wielder suffers 1 point of necrotic backlash as the blade drinks a sliver of the wielder's unease.

Atk Once per short rest the wielder can cause thorn blooms on a hit to add piercing damage.
Armor3

A cloak woven from midnight moss and stitched with silver thorns. It hums softly at the border of hearing. Drawback: attuning grants restful but vivid dreams of the feywild; once per long rest the wearer wakes shaken, suffering disadvantage on their first initiative roll.

AC +1Wearer gains +1 to AC and +1 to saving throws while attuned.

Soft boots of dusky leather dusted with crushed fern. They make the wearer soundless. Drawback: while they silence footsteps they deposit faint bioluminescent pollen in dark places for an hour after heavy use, making the wearer easier to track by creatures with darkvision.

Wearer's steps make no sound; advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks that rely on moving silently.

A leather bracer threaded with the pale veins of mothwing. It pools dusk around the wrist. Drawback: after using its darkness the wearer's hands smell of wet earth for 1 hour, imposing disadvantage on Sleight of Hand checks until it fades.

Potions2

A crimson vial that shimmers like warming embers. Drawback: after drinking, the consumer finds it harder to tell a convincing lie for 1 hour; Deception checks have disadvantage for that time.

Heal 14 HP

A vial of ink-black liquid that tastes faintly of midnight air. Drawback: after invisibility ends you glow dimly for a minute, making further stealth difficult.

After the effect ends, the user emits dim, flickering light for 1 minute and is easier to spot.

Shop Atmosphere

The shop sits beneath an arched tangle of thorns and ivy and smells of peat, honey, and rain. Candles gutter on their own, and every mirror shows the ceiling as a starfield for a moment each hour. Purchases almost always require a trade phrased as an exchange of memories, promises, or small personal tokens. The owner sometimes barters additional services for a slice of something intangible: a favor, a rumour, or a name. Fey patrons who enter are treated with greater courtesy; overt cruelty is met with polite but binding consequences. The shop keeps a ledger of whispered debts written in invisible ink that glows faintly at twilight.
