Shop Atmosphere

Borun is outwardly genial and speaks in low, gravelly tones. He displays subtle wolf iconography everywhere — paw impressions in iron work and a carved wolf-eye over the forge door. He never works at night in the open and keeps the workshop windows shuttered at full moon (claims to be superstitious about sparks). His apprentice, Jory, is the son of a famed werewolf paladin and often hums old hymns while oiling blades; Jory's gold tooth bears a tiny cross shaped like a wolf. Rumor among clients: Borun sleeps in the rear workshop when the moon is full; he grows defensive if anyone mentions silver. Skillful roleplay hooks: Borun will subtly incline toward helping those who show compassion to animals or moon-themed clergy, and will be fiercely protective of Jory. If pressed, Borun will deflect direct questions about his past with gruff jokes and offers of free sharpening.
