A stout, single-edged knife favored by hunters. The blade is grounded flat and polished; the grip is wrapped in boiled leather. Functional and easy to maintain.

None mechanically; described as 'well-balanced' by locals — Borin will sharpen it free once.

A sharp dagger with a simple pommel stamped with the Stoneforge hammer. Lightweight and reliable.

Thrown (range 20/60).

A solid shortsword meant for work and defense. Not flashy, but the edge holds well.

None

A well-made longsword in the traditional dwarven utilitarian style. The crossguard is short and the blade slightly broader.

None

A compact axe with a reinforced socket. Useful as both a tool and a weapon.

Thrown (range 20/60).

A simple spear with a hardened iron tip and ash shaft. Good for hunting and forming spear-lines.

Thrown (range 20/60) when used as a javelin

A rare sight in a small post, this heavy two-handed blade is impeccably balanced for its weight. Borin keeps only one on display.

Requires two hands

A simple shortbow option for hunters Borin trades with. It is strung with strong sinew and fitted with a carved notch.

Range 80/320

A spear specifically trimmed and weighted for consistent throwing. The tip is removable for easy repair.

Thrown (range 30/90).

Three matched throwing knives in a small leather roll. Useful for hunters and scouts.

Each thrown (20/60).
Armor1

A round wooden shield rimmed with iron. It bears a faint hammer mark in the center.

AC +2None beyond standard shield benefit (+2 AC).
Miscellaneous1

A modestly enchanted shortsword: the steel has a faint cold sheen and a tiny rune at the pommel. Borin only keeps such an item by tradition — once belonged to his mentor.

Atk This is a +1 weapon (uncommon).
Miscellaneous5

A chunk of coarse stone in a leather pouch. Borin tests each customer's whetstone choice before sale.

None

Reinforced leather straps and hand-wraps used on hafts and grips. Useful for repairs and comfort.

None

Minor nicks, re-hafthing small blades, re-canting a wrapped grip. Borin works quickly and methodically.

Repairs return a weapon to proper function but don't restore magical charges.

A small name, clan mark, or simple rune stamped or engraved into the hilt or blade. Dwarven motifs are Borin's specialty.

None

A viscous oil made with local coal-tar and herbs. Borin claims it slows rust and helps an edge hold.

Cosmetic / preservation only.

Shop Atmosphere

Borin rarely raises his voice and answers questions with slow, precise grunts. He signs every sale with the same small hammer mark stamped on the blade. He will not sell enchanted items to those he suspects may use them for raiding or slaving, and expects buyers to leave mud and blood outside when possible. If a customer shares a story of how the blade will be used to protect kin or home, Borin offers a 5% 'Stoneforge discount.' He keeps a faded portrait of his father above the forge and tells a short, quiet story to anyone who buys a weapon older than a week.
