“Brynn's Tempered Anvil smells of coal, oil, and lemon (she cleans with lemon and insists on it). Brynn talks to the weapons as she works, addressing blades as 'good iron' or 'stubborn steel.' She hums old dwarven forging songs when busy and will only pour a customer's ale into a pewter cup if that customer can tell a decent war story. She offers a free sharpening to anyone who recruits her for a minor commission (a story/roleplay hook). Brynn dislikes overpolished ceremonial pieces—'a blade should remember blood and bread'—and will refuse to sell or engrave an item she thinks will be used for wanton cruelty.”
