(17)A small glass phial of shimmering red liquid that glimmers when shaken. A staple for low-level parties.
A deeper ruby potion in a cork-stopped vial. Kept behind the counter; only a few are in stock.
A misty blue vial kept in a shelved tray. Useful for short dives or shipboard salvage.
A palm-sized globe of blown glass. Useful as a hands-free lantern for coastal caves and foggy nights.
A simple silver band etched with wave motifs. Makes swimming far less perilous.
A pale ring shaped like overlapping oar blades. Often bought by smugglers and shoreline priests.
A rolled parchment sealed with blue wax. Popular among sailors for making cover in a boarding action or escaping a reef.
A slip of vellum cracked with salt. Handy for mid-combat escapes or getting over a ship's rail.
A polished spyglass in an oiled leather case. One of the priciest mundane items in the shop.
A compact chest of instruments for plotting courses by the stars. Every crew leader needs one.
A tidy kit for writing logbooks and copying spells into a spellbook. Includes a bottle of iron-black ink favored by mariners.
A folded, hand-inked atlas whose blue lines glimmer faintly. The shopkeeper claims a sea witch helped calibrate its margins.
A brass sextant whose sights are inlaid with mother-of-pearl. It hums faintly when the tide turns.
A ribbon of woven kelp preserved with varnish. The owner sells these to clerks and scholars who handle many volumes.
A salt-sprayed logbook containing transcribed captain's entries from local vessels. Valuable for research.
A folded chart labeled Hidden Shoals. Not enchanted, but painstakingly accurate for this stretch of coast.
A dark, water-repellent cloak that seems to ripple like the surface of the sea. Beloved by coastal captains.

Shop Atmosphere
“Maris Blackwell runs The Brinebound Folio from a narrow storefront that curves like the bow of a ship. Shelves tilt ever so slightly toward the east as if leaning into wind. The air smells of salt, varnish, and old paper. Stained charts hang from the rafters, and a shallow tide pool runs along the lowest shelf where a small enchanted periwinkle hums when customers ask for weather lore. Maris is a human wizard, level 5, who spent a decade as a ship's chronicler. She wears a faded captain's coat over scholar's robes and tucks a needlepoint compass in her pocket. She speaks slowly with a sea-salt lilt, prefers transactions in gold pieces, and will trade a rare chart or a day's worth of navigation lessons for a favor or a good story about a wreck. Maris hums shanties while mending bindings and insists on steaming every book exposed to sea spray before it leaves the shop. She catalogs purchases in an oversized tide-ink ledger that records who took what and what the tide was when they left.”
