(15)A wide-eyed juvenile owl with velvety feathers and an attentive tilt of the head. Calm and alert; ideal as a scouting companion or familiar.
A trained adult barn owl—more reliable at night than the owlet. Good for message service and nocturnal scouting.
A lithe, soft-footed ferret whose fur has green-tinged moss growing along the spine. Playful and curious; excellent at slipping into small spaces.
A thumb-sized frog whose belly emits a soft, green-gold bioluminescent glow. Gentle and soothing; popular as a living nightlight.
A tiny, plantlike fey with leaf-skin and vine-hair. Mischievous but loyal if treated kindly. Slightly more intelligent than ordinary animal companions.
A small cage grown from living roots and woven with bark fibers. Breathes slightly and keeps small companions calm with a scent of earth.
A fist-sized clump of softly glowing, living moss that keeps small companions warm and hydrated on the road.
A small pouch of crunchy, herb-scented treats suitable for owls, ferrets, and similar creatures.
A travel pack with damp moss, small water bowl, a bell, and a handful of treats—handy for new companions.
A dark, knobbly seed that will sprout into a tiny root-cage (24 hours) if planted in damp soil and sung to nightly.
A delicate leather collar with a small bell—useful for keeping track of lively companions.
A carved wooden charm imbued with minor druidic empathy. Glows faintly when animals are nearby.
A compress of ground herbs and moss that staunches small wounds on animals (and people) and soothes fever.
Isel spends an hour teaching handling, basic commands, and small tricks tailored to the buyer and companion.
Isel will train and send a bird or small creature to deliver a simple message within a day's travel of the town.

“Isel talks to every animal as if they're part of the negotiation, chiding or coaxing them: “No, Fernclaw, I don’t think she’s your type,” or “Quiet, Mottle—money first, mischief later.” She occasionally pauses mid-sale to ask an animal's opinion and will adjust a price if the creature 'approves' (a dramatic head-tilt). The booth's wooden cages are actually living root-sculptures filled with softly glowing moss; animals chirp, hiss, or purr in the background.”
