(17)A grease-stained paperback with practical notes about scavenging, identifying safe water, and makeshift shelter. Marginalia in the margins notes safe routes and dangerous tribes.
A battered spellbook rebound with scavenged leather. Some vellum is patched with scrap cloth; the ink smells faintly of ozone.
A folded map of the immediate wastes and ruined highways. Routes marked in different inks; some locations scribbled over.
A small vial of pitch-black ink that resists fading and drying even in the fiercest sun.
A heavy, dusty volume of decrees and treaties from before the Collapse. Useful to historians, lawyers, and those who want to claim pre-war rights.
A pebble-sized stone that slowly orbits the user's head when activated, giving a subtle sharpening of thought.
A half-bound manual that imparts practical training: short lessons on scavenging, lockpicking basics, and first aid. Only partially complete.
Handwritten notes of routes, barter prices, and personalities. Contains sketches and a small sewn pocket with a faded token.
A greasy, aromatic salve that halts decay on paper and leather for a season.
A brass-capped leather tube lined with oiled silk. Keeps scrolls from crumbling in the wind.
A mechanical quill that writes in a steady hand when activated; very useful for copying spells or long treaties.
A scholarly treatise on the lingering magical auras of ruined places. Well-thumbed and annotated by different hands.
A brass-slat bookmark with a tiny lens. When inserted, it softly glows and labels the page for later recall.
A simple recycled ledger made from bundled scrap paper. Cheap but surprisingly sturdy.
A brittle scroll whose ink still holds elemental heat when unfurled.
A heavy parchment inscribed in a tight, looping hand. The atmosphere around it feels quiet.
A layered shawl designed to keep sand and grit off the wearer and to conceal identity in the wastes.

Shop Atmosphere
“The shop is a cramped, sandblown maze of leaning piles; Maris stacks books until they form narrow corridors you must squeeze through. Cat-sized edgelings (paper mounds) skitter between stacks and occasionally hiss if you disturb a precarious tower. She charges 1 gp extra to search the 'Inner Pile' for a specific title, and gives a small sketch of a useful scrap-map with purchases over 50 gp. Maris tends to mutter page citations aloud while counting coins and will attempt to barter favored lore or repairs for salvage rather than all-cash deals.”
