Weapons6

A once-decent longsword, edge nicked and surface pitted with rust; someone has tried to buff out a faded maker's mark.

If used without a successful Athletics check after cleaning, the first attack each combat deals half damage (weapon is sticky/rough).

A sharp blade with a subtle hum and fine engraving. The edge glints oddly despite grime — clearly magical.

Atk +1 to attack and damage rolls when wielded.

A shortsword with a slightly bent blade, hammered back to shape and re-wrapped haphazardly.

On a critical hit, roll normally; on a natural 1 when attacking with this blade, the weapon must be tested with a Smith's tool check or become unusable until repaired.

A basic warhammer with dings and a pitted head. The haft has been bound with leather strips.

Five daggers, some better tempered than others. Several have been sharpened and re-wrapped.

One dagger in the lot bears a cut mark that matches a city watcher's sigil; valuable as evidence (or leverage).

A heavy two-handed maul whose head has been welded back onto a splintered shaft; effective but awkward.

On a natural 1 the haft may splinter (DM check).
Armor6

A wooden heater shield, the paint of a noble house's crest scratched beyond recognition; a long crack runs across the face but it's been bound with rawhide.

AC +2The crest is identifiable to anyone who knows local nobility (Investigation or History ).

Well-worn leather armor, patched repeatedly. Still serviceable for light-armor wearers.

AC +11Noisy in stealth if not re-stitched (Stealth checks with disadvantage until repaired).

Studded leather armor with mismatched studs. Offers decent protection if sized properly.

AC +12If tailored by the shopkeeper, the armor grants no penalty to stealth despite its studs.

A chain shirt with some flattened rings and a few replaced links. Heavy wear marks at the shoulders.

AC +13If not repaired properly, some movements risk catching (Disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks until mended).

A single breastplate: heavy, dented, but still serviceable. The flanks and pauldrons are missing.

AC +14Being part of an identifiable set, wearing it may attract attention from local enforcers or the original owners.

A partial set of chain mail with a stamped mark on several links. Some pieces are missing but what's there is serviceable.

AC +16Heavy armor: Wearer suffers Disadvantage on Stealth checks unless modified.
Potions2

A small vial of red liquid that glows faintly when shaken.

Heal 7 HPHeals HP when consumed.

A heavier crystal vial filled with a deeper red mixture.

Heal 14 HPHeals HP when consumed.
Miscellaneous3

A well-made cloak with a subtle shimmer. The lining shows signs of hurried stitching and a removed label.

+1 to AC and saving throws while worn (magic item: Cloak of Protection).

A small kit with a whetstone, a hammer, tongs, and a few spare rivets; good for field repairs.

Using this kit gives advantage on a single Smith's tool check to try to temporarily repair a weapon or armor (once per short rest).

A battered quiver holding twenty arrows of varying quality; some have fine points, others are blunt.

One arrow appears to be fletched with cut feathers from a rare bird — worth an extra 2 gp to the right buyer.

Shop Atmosphere

The forge smells of coal, sweat, and cheap spirits. Bera is brusque, quick with a lie and quicker with a whetstone. She prefers coin but takes favours, stolen goods, or appointments with cutpurses as part payment. Many items are deliberately underpriced — either because Bera needs them moved fast, or because their provenance would cost you more in questions from the watch. She keeps the best things behind a trapdoor and only shows them after a private signal (a light rap pattern) and a handshake. If the city watch asks, Bera pretends ignorance; if a rival tries to lift from the back, she has friends who know how to make 'mistakes' in the dark.
