A rough linen pouch tied with sinew: a slab of dried chitterskale jerky, a handful of roasted sand beetle legs, and a chew of cactus brittle. Fills stomach for a day.

Foul taste; anyone eating must succeed a Con save or suffer disadvantage on Persuasion checks for 10 minutes (they refuse to admit they like it). Goblins immune.

A patched burlap bag containing meal pinched from caravans — sometimes flour, sometimes grit. Useful for trading or baking when sieved.

May contain a 10% chance of something valuable: a coin (1 gp), a tiny gem (5 gp), or a useful trinket (DM determines).

Heal 6 HPGrants temporary resistance to fire damage for 1 hour (goblin recipe enzymes). Non-goblin eaters must succeed a Con save or take poison damage and be sickened (disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks) for 1 minute. Creatures that are immune to poison ignore save.

A thick broth made by boiling chitterskale bones until the marrow dissolves. It tastes of iron and sand and makes you think of running.

Heal 10 HPGrants advantage on grapple checks for 10 minutes (you feel sinewy and wiry). Non-goblins must succeed on a Con save or be nauseated (disadvantage on attack rolls) for 1 minute.

If eaten as an improvised weapon (throw), each beetle has AC 5 and deals 1 bludgeoning damage (DM rules). Eating a beetle grants advantage on Survival checks to locate insects for 10 minutes.

A strip of stringy lizard meat, smoked over ember-sand. Tough and sinewy but nourishing; local goblins prefer it raw.

Heal 2 HPEating grants bonus to Stealth checks for 30 minutes when moving over sand or in dunes (the smell masks footsteps).

Small chewy confections made from boiled cactus pulp and honeyed caravan sugar. Sweet, mildly hallucinogenic in large doses.

Heal 1 HPEating a candy grants minor euphoria. For 10 minutes the eater has advantage on Performance checks involving dance or display, but takes a -1 penalty to Wisdom saving throws as their mind wanders.

Removes one level of exhaustion if consumed along with a full night's rest (DM adjudication). Grants advantage on saves vs. heat stroke for 8 hours.

He barters aggressively—will trade a bowl of stew for a useable gear part, a story, or a promise to retrieve a lost cooking pot. Occasionally his pots contain 'surprises' from recent raids (small trinkets, a handful of coins, or smugglers' notes). He insists all non-goblins try the cactus tea before buying anything 'real' and offers a suspiciously friendly discount for those who can stomach the bone broth without gagging.
