Weapons6

A stout fighting dagger forged from local iron. Balanced and easy to conceal.

Thrown short distances if sharpened.

A one-handed axe, useful for combat or chopping. Edge holds well.

Well-balanced for throwing (no mechanical bonus).

Common adventuring blade, forged with a slightly fuller along the blade to reduce weight.

Versatile longsword with a hardened edge and a fur-wrapped grip option for cold weather.

Fur-wrapped grip prevents cold-stressed hands when used in frigid climates.

A sturdy warhammer with a reinforced face for heavy blows and a peen for bending metal.

Face can be used for shaping metal in the shop.

A spear balanced for accurate throwing and reuse; hardened tip holds up to repeated use.

Serrated barbs are avoided—meant to be reusable for hunt and combat.
Armor6

Round wooden shield with an iron rim. Rugged and repairable.

AC +2

Quilted padded armor with a thin inner layer of tanned pelt for extra warmth.

AC +11Insulating lining grants comfort and less fatigue in cold climates (non-magical).

Tough leather cuirass made from boiled hides. Can be fitted with studs for extra protection.

AC +11Works well with fur linings; studding available for additional cost.

Studded leather with rows of riveted metal and a fur trim around the collar and shoulders.

AC +12Fur trim discourages wind chill; favored by hunters and scouts of the region.

A shirt of interlocking iron rings, hardened and oiled to prevent freezing in cold weather.

AC +13Link coating slows rust and icing when used in frigid environments; maintenance recommended.

A reinforced leather jerkin with layered hide and fur trim—crafted for hunters.

AC +12Designed for mobility and warmth; favored by rangers and trappers.
Miscellaneous10

Hammer, tongs, files, punches, hammers of various sizes, chisels, and a hard-woven apron.

A raw iron ingot, useful as material for weapons, nails, and repair work.

Well-made horseshoes, fitted and nailed to mount with basic shoeing service.

A bundle of twenty arrows with iron heads and feather fletchings.

A small leather pouch of assorted rivets and nails for armor and tack repair.

Sharpening, minor straightening and edge work. Major reshapings priced individually.

A high-quality wolf pelt, excellent for trims, bedding, or trade.

A thick, large pelt prized for warmth and status among local trappers.

Sturdy leather boots lined with local pelt to keep feet warm and dry in snow and sleet.

Provide better comfort in cold; may reduce fatigue on long cold marches (DM adjudicates).

A heavy cloak with sewn-in thin chain reinforcing the shoulders and a full fur collar.

Minor protective reinforcement and excellent insulation. (If the DM allows: grants advantage on stealth or Survival checks in snowy/forest terrain once per day—non-magical craftwork subject to DM adjudication.)

Shop Atmosphere

Hrothgar keeps a line of cured pelts draped across the counter and will happily trade most goods for quality pelts (usually at 60–80% coin value depending on freshness). He hums old tanning chants while he works, chews a strip of rawhide when thinking, and refuses to work on anything with gilding (calls it 'fancy foolishness'). Haggling is expected — offer a pelt or a story of a good hunt and you'll usually get a better price.
