Night's Glimpse: once eaten, grants darkvision (or extends existing darkvision) by 10 ft for 8 hours. If the consumer already has darkvision, the radius increases for the duration.

A sugar cookie out of which faint runes can be seen. It tastes of citrus and winter herbs.

Once per cookie: grants advantage on one saving throw vs. a minor enchantment or curse (effectual vs. 1st-level charm/enchantment). Use within 24 hours of eating.

Delicate pastel cookie that refracts light oddly. Eating it may cause one brief, harmless illusion.

Upon finishing the macaron, the eater can create one silent, visual-only illusion within 30 ft as the minor illusion cantrip (duration 1 minute). Non-magical components cannot be interacted with.

Each candy grants +1 to one Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma check (player choice) within the next 10 minutes. One candy per roll.

When consumed (takes 10 minutes to eat), the eater gains +1 to AC for 1 hour or until they remove armor. Alternatively, use once to cast the spell shielded (casts 'shield of faith' with bonus instead of +2). DM choice.

Merri can, given a day and the blessing of Xander the beholder, craft nearly any edible item that can be dreamt by Xander. The beholder's dreams determine unusual magical qualities.

Custom: Merri can create an edible magical effect up to the power of a 1st-level spell or a minor magic item effect appropriate for a 1st-level party. Examples: a tart that casts 'detect magic' once, a cake that grants +2 to Stealth checks for 1 hour, a pastry that stores a single cantrip. Requires one full day and Merri's workshop; Xander must be present (a brief waking conversation with the beholder is required).

A well-carved rolling pin studded with small moonstone inlays. Helps an artisan produce more reliable occult pastries.

Grants advantage on one baking-related tool check per long rest (or any Investigation/Performance check tied to creating magical food).

“Merri hums old lullabies in Gnomish while kneading. Xander the beholder is a silent presence in a glass-walled alcove behind the shop—large, curious, and easily bored; he rarely leaves his viewing platform. Any item Xander 'dreams' while Merri listens can be produced in one day as a Commission (with prices rising by the dream's strangeness). Merri refuses to bake anything that could become permanently sentient, monstrous, or that feeds on souls; she'll barter for stories and small curiosities rather than always taking coin. The oven is rumored to whisper suggestions at midnight; regulars bring trinkets to be 'tempered' in its heat for small boons.”
