Armor2

An immaculate robe woven with tiny silver runes and stitched with a patchwork of alignment-swatched cloth. It hums when someone near the truth of a theorem speaks an unproven conjecture.

If not wearing armor, base AC becomes 15 + Dex modifier. Advantage on saves vs spells and magic. Spell save DC and spell attack bonus each increase by 2.

A gray cloak with chalky margin notes that clean themselves each dawn. The edges are embroidered with tiny mortarboards.

AC +1Grants +1 to AC and saving throws while worn.
Weapons2

A blackened staff topped with a humming obsidian orb. The shaft is inlaid with marginalia that changes every time you annotate it.

Atk Grants +2 to spell attack rolls. Advantage on saves vs spells while held. Stores and expends charges to cast powerful spells; can be destroyed for a retributive strike.

A gleaming longsword with a serrated academic crest engraved on the fuller. Its edge sings in iambic couplets when it tastes blood.

Atk On a natural 20 the blade can decapitate a creature with a head (instant death if the DM deems the condition met).
Miscellaneous11

A broad leather belt buckled with a thundercloud motif. When you cinch it, distant thunder answers your first angry thought.

Sets the wearer's Strength to 29 while attuned. Requires attunement.

A thin band of hammered silver set with a tiny rune. It feels warmer when you are doing something lawful but not yet properly catalogued.

AC +1Grants bonus to AC and to saving throws while worn.

A small pale green crystalline prism that hums formulae when spun. It orbits its attuned wearer and corrects marginal arithmetic errors in real time.

Increases your proficiency bonus by 1 while orbiting your head.

A heavy leather-bound tome whose pages are full of paradoxical exam questions that become clear once read aloud to a cat.

Raises Wisdom score by 2; increases maximum Wisdom accordingly.

A folio bound in vellum and annotated with marginal theorem proofs. When you speak a ritual aloud near it, the folio will politely interject corrections.

Once per long rest, allows the caster to inscribe a single ritual spell into the folio; that ritual can thereafter be cast from the folio without using the caster's ritual book for up to 24 hours.

A length of red tape stamped with the university seal. It smells faintly of ink and old coffee and occasionally files a report on its owner.

When wrapped around a document you gain advantage on all checks to persuade, deceive, or seduce institutions and officials about that document for 8 hours. Once applied, the tape is stubbornly bureaucratic: unwrapping it requires a Strength or Sleight of Hand check.

A fountain quill whose nib curls into the shape of the university crest when dipped in ink. It corrects grammar in nearby manuscripts.

Once per long rest, the Quill animates a single bound document into a tiny, obedient written homunculus that can perform a single simple task (fetch a book, deliver a message, apply a stamp). The homunculus lasts 1 hour.

A brass stopwatch with a face printed in marginalia instead of numbers. When you wind it, a tiny librarian sighs and adjusts the hands.

Once per short rest, allows the attuned wearer to reroll one attack roll, saving throw, or ability check and must take the second result. The stopwatch rewinds only the smallest of mistakes.

A heavy wooden stamp carved with a smiling golem and the words 'Pass/Fail.' The pad smells faintly of oils and ozone.

When pressed against a construct, golem, or animated object, the stamp bestows a temporary 'graded' status that imposes disadvantage on the construct's next attack and causes it to obey a simple order (one sentence) for 1 round. Single use; ink must be refilled with 50 gp of special toner to reuse.

A well-packed components pouch, annotated with labels and tiny index tabs for tinctures, powders, and common gemstones.

Contains a year's worth of basic arcane components and a small field manual for identifying common reagents.

A rolled scroll sealed with a miniature wax diploma. The calligraphy changes font depending on the purchaser's literacy.

A single-use scroll of a 5th-level utility spell selected on purchase (examples: Teleportation Circle fragment, Legend Lore primer, or Wall of Force lecture excerpt). Identifying the exact spell is recommended before buying.
Potions2

A small, pulsing vial of deep crimson liquid sealed with a wax stamp that bears the sigil of an excused absence.

Heal 60 HPRestores hit points when consumed.

A vial labeled in tiny handwriting: 'For when footnotes get violent.' The liquid glimmers like corrected ink.

Heal 20 HPRestores hit points when consumed.

Shop Atmosphere

Shelves are organized like a library catalogue and will politely shush anyone who asks prices twice. Bizarre university trappings everywhere: a chalkboard that argues back, filing cabinets that rearrange themselves overnight, and a tiny debating circle of animated quills that adjudicate returns. If you fail to bow to the bust of the founder on your first visit, expect a strict but fair late-fee in the form of a pop quiz.
