Fresh-baked roll, still warm. A common tavern staple.

Foamy, local ale—cheap and filling.

Hearty stew of root vegetables and salted pork. Restores morale more than body.

A filling plate: roasted protein, two sides, gravy and bread. Keeps an adventurer going.

A small parade of Maela's favorites — a better-than-average meal that comforts and perks the spirit.

On a long rest after consuming, the first hit die rolled to regain HP is treated as one die higher (flavour/temporary house rule).

Stout wooden spoon; plainly useful in a kitchen or as an improvised club.

A small leather pouch with exotic and local spices—useful to flavor food or bribe a guard with an aromatic loaf.

A pinch added to a meal improves morale; once per day a meal with these spices grants the diner advantage on one Charisma (Persuasion) check made before their next long rest (flavorful roleplay tool).

A modest bottle of cooking oil. Useful in kitchens and for minor alchemical uses.

Well-seasoned cooking skillet. Durable; doubles as an improvised weapon.

A small, blessed broth Maela learned to make to ease wounds and sickness.

Heal 9 HPHeals hit points when consumed (average 9). Additionally, drinking while suffering from mild illness grants advantage on the next Constitution saving throw against disease or poison within 1 hour (limited, roleplay/DM discretion).

Spiced stew served to soldiers and nervous guards. It warms the heart and steadies the hand.

For 1 hour after eating, the diner gains 5 temporary hit points and advantage on saving throws against the frightened condition (house-effect; not cumulative with similar magic).

An elaborate, rare multi-course platter Maela prepares only for heroes and desperate patrons. It tastes of roast figs and rosemary and brings the body and spirit into tune.

For 24 hours after eating: the diner gains 10 temporary hit points and immunity to the frightened condition and to poison effects. (A single serving; exceptionally powerful—Maela prepares only a handful per season.)
Weapons2

A razor-sharp kitchen blade used for filleting and precise cuts — indistinguishable from a common dagger in function.

A well-made iron skillet enchanted to hold a perpetual, controlled warmth and to cut with uncanny balance.

Atk Counts as a +1 melee weapon for attack and damage rolls when used in combat. Once per long rest the wielder may heat its surface to sear: the next successful hit deals an additional fire damage (flavour: used more often to sear steaks than scorch foes).
Potions2

A clear, sweet-smelling draught; drinking it mends wounds.

Heal 7 HPHeals hit points when consumed (average 7).

A thicker ruby-red potion, restoring larger wounds at a stroke.

Heal 14 HPHeals hit points when consumed (average 14).
Armor1

A clean white apron that never retains a mark. Superbly handy for public figures who must appear immaculate.

The apron magically repels stains and spills. While worn, the wearer has advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks related to cleanliness or presentation. Once per day it sheds a warm, comforting scent that grants advantage on one saving throw against being poisoned (flavourful item; DM discretion).

Shop Atmosphere

The Hearth & Hallowed Spoon is always warm and scented with rosemary and baking bread. Maela blesses every pot with a whispered prayer and will sometimes exchange a healed scar or rumor for a secret recipe. She keeps a small board for adventurer's notices and reserves the best table for those with battle scars. The kitchen cat, 'Broth', will jump onto laps if offered a scrap; regulars leave a coin in a small clay jar for 'later sausages' (Maela uses it to buy spices). Proprietor will not serve clearly evil acts food (she's discreet but moral) and offers a free bowl of bread to those in genuine need.
