Shop Atmosphere
“Rybalka Cathedral Reliquary sits at the edge of the snowbound village, a squat stone nave of dark granite and frosted glass that exudes warmth from its low, always-burning hearth. The shop is a small chamber off the nave, lined with shelves of simple wooden boxes, glass vials, and cloth-wrapped bundles. A soft smell of pine resin and beeswax hangs in the air. Juriendor, the high priest, is a broad-shouldered human in his late fifties who wears plain blue-grey vestments and a silver amulet bearing Helm's eye. He runs the cathedral with a firm but tolerant hand and practices an ecumenical hospitality: rites and goods for many faiths are offered, and the acolytes will respectfully prepare an item for another god on request. Rules of the house: remove boots before entering the inner chapel, quiet speech within prayer rooms, and leave weapons in the rack by the outer door unless you receive explicit permission. The cathedral also offers small private prayer rooms by the hour and quiet guidance from an acolyte for those who seek counsel. A modest donation will earn the right to fill one waterskin from the blessed spring or to request a personal simple blessing; larger rites and crafting of special relics require bargaining or a service in return.”
