Shop Inventory
(13)A small, corked vial of sanguine liquid. The label is stamped with a faded house sigil and the date of a festival long past.
A brittle parchment with cramped, looping script and a marginal stigma of soot. Usable by spellcasters who can read arcane script.
A yellowed, vellum scroll bound with a silver thread. The ink has a faint shimmer under moonlight.
A polished yew wand inset with an opal that seems to flicker with star-like pinpricks. It hums faintly when held.
A scuffed canvas satchel with a brass rim engraved in ivy. Interior smells faintly of dried lavender.
A thimble-sized jar filled with glittering silver dust. The stopper has an old wax seal split in two.
Four sheets of durable vellum and a bottle of archival ink made for recording spells and runes without fading.
A smooth, oiled stone set in a leather strap. When used for 10 minutes, it grants a weapon +1 to damage on the next strike (single use).
Assorted pouches: chalk, incense, iron filings, bat guano, sulfur, tallow, candles, sealing wax, and glass vials. Kept in labeled drawers with tiny brass tags.
A once-sumptuous cloak of deep indigo now dulled at the edges. When worn, its hem smells of old libraries.
A slightly curved longsword with a mother-of-pearl pommel engraved with a constellation. Blade bears faint, archaic runes.
A small bronze amulet with a chipped blue glass lens. It feels weightier than it looks.
A tiny silver locket that, when held to the ear, lets the holder hear faint echoes of conversations that occurred within the last 24 hours in that room.

Shop Atmosphere
“The shop is an anteroom of curiosities: clockwork chairs that rock by themselves, shelves labeled by emotion rather than item type, and a faint scent of old books and bergamot. Esmé insists on wrapping purchases in brittle, embossed paper and will often bargain by offering a story about an item's provenance instead of a discount. She only accepts exotic trade items (family heirloom, rare map) for high-value barter, and will sometimes offer a complimentary cup of lemon tea that 'sharpens the memory' to customers who buy magical items.”
