Miscellaneous2

A well-worn steel pick with a wooden haft, pitted from years underground. Useful for mining and as an improvised weapon.

A solid length of iron, reinforced at the tip. A miner's go-to for prying and demolition.

Grants advantage on Strength checks to pry objects open when used properly.
Miscellaneous14

Sturdy pry tool with a nicked end. Useful for levering open crates, doors, or rock seams.

Can be used as improvised tool for forced entry and leverage.

A dented brass lantern; the glass is cloudy but intact. Burns oil to give bright light in a 30-foot radius.

Provides bright light (30 ft) and dim light for an additional 30 ft when fed oil. Comes with a cracked glass pane (fragile).

Common lamp oil salvaged from old stores. Smokes a little when burned.

Cheap fuel; burns but leaves black smoke in enclosed spaces.

A focused-lens lantern that throws light farther. Lens has a hairline crack that reduces durability.

Bright light in 60 ft cone and dim for further 60 ft when used. Crack may shatter on a hard hit (DM roll).

A battered kit for vertical work in shafts and caverns. Contains 50 ft hempen rope, 10 pitons, a harness, and basic gear.

Use for climbing checks; rope has several repairs and may need replacement after heavy use.

Dented tins and jars full of preserved food; not gourmet but filling.

Provides standard rations for up to 7 days.

A tattered bedroll padded with old blankets; dusty and smelling faintly of coal.

Comfortable enough to avoid one level of exhaustion during short rests.

Small stone used to sharpen blades. Black grit clings to fingers after use.

Sharpening restores a weapon to full effectiveness after wear (flavor only).

Replacement glass panes for common lanterns; many have hairline scratches.

Sturdy tar-soaked sticks bundled together. Smell of pitch and smoke.

Each torch provides bright light in 20 ft radius while lit (1 hour burn time).

A battered metal can containing several pints of cleaner oil than Mara usually keeps on the shelves.

Enough to fuel a heavy lantern for multiple long rests.

Striker and flint in a dented tin. Sparks occasionally elude the striker.

Ignites torches, lanterns, and fires when used with raw materials.

Shavings and filings collected from the mine's smelter. Useful to weigh down traps, jam locks, or as small trade material.

Can be used for improvised tools or to interfere with delicate metalwork (DM adjudicates).

A coal-splattered shovel with a cracked handle patched with cord. Suitable for digging soft earth and coal seams.

Useful as an improvised weapon and for digging; handle may break on heavy use (DM roll).
Miscellaneous1

A water-resistant cloak with patches. Keeps wearer marginally drier in damp tunnels.

AC +11Grants advantage on checks to stay dry; not a substitute for real armor.
Weapons1

Shop Atmosphere

The shop smells of coal, oil, and old leather. Floorboards groan and the bell over the door is missing a clapper — entry is announced by a coughing shuffle from the back. Mara talks in half-finished sentences about 'the vein that almost paid' and will trade unusual favors (information about tunnels, a labor trade, or metals) for a discount. She keeps a battered ledger of IOUs and expects payment in coin or in kind; haggling is common and she favors those who bring a decent portion of tobacco or tough jerky.
