Shop Atmosphere

The Brass Lantern occupies the corner of a busy market lane; shelves lean pleasantly from decades of use. Merric, a talkative ex-traveling merchant, loves bartering and telling a good road story. He keeps the back shelf (locked) for pricier, questionable goods and two hidden pouches: one with emergency potions, another with small trinkets 'left behind' by customers. He offers discounts for parties who bring trade goods, and will sometimes trade information about recent road conditions or local rumours in exchange for uncommon spices or maps.
