Quirks

Merris collects small trinkets dropped and lost on the premises; a faded coin tied to a string above the bar is said to bring luck to those who toss a copper into the bowl beneath. The house cat 'Bridle' hates cloaks and will snuggle into any hood or mantle it finds — sometimes stealing small items and leaving them under the hearth.

Lore

Locals swear the hearthstone at the center of the common room was laid by a minor fire spirit long ago; lighting a candle to it is said to smooth disputes for the evening.
