The Hearth & Half-Moon
Built nearly sixty years ago by a retired boatwright and his wife, The Hearth & Half-Moon began as a simple riverside alehouse. Over decades it expanded into a cozy inn when trade along the route increased. The half-moon emblem was stitched into the curtains by the boatwright's wife; tales say she once traded a silver trinket for a night's shelter for a mysterious stranger. The inn survived a flood two decades ago and was rebuilt with stronger beams — some say the beams still carry scars from that storm.
