The Blue Lantern Barrow
Built on a cluster of rotted pilings where two shipping lanes cross, the tavern began as a lean-to owned by a grieving ferryman. Over the decades it was rebuilt with blackened timber and flaking copper, changing hands through quiet deaths and fast coin. Its current sign, a rusted lantern dripping with blue wax, was hung after the last owner disappeared into a storm and never returned. Rumor says the tavern prospers because a bargain was struck with something in the water. Smugglers, exiles, and those who prefer to keep their business off the main quay have kept the place alive.
