The Gilded Griffin
Built on the old trade road near the city gate, The Gilded Griffin began as a coach stop run by Bryndis' grandfather, a retired caravan master. Over fifty years it grew into an adventurer's refuge: a place where travelers exchange contracts and cooks exchange recipes with soldiers. The tavern survived a siege two decades ago when Bryndis and a handful of regulars defended it from bandits; a dented shield above the bar commemorates that night.
