The Crossed Keys
Built decades ago by a Dutch trading company, The Crossed Keys served as a hub for spice routes and coastal traders. When the British took control of the town, the tavern passed hands after a messy auction and the original owner sailed for home with two trunks of spices. Jonas Keene took over a few years later, keeping the Dutch lamps and the old ledger. Since then it became a neutral meeting place for captains who refuse to bow to the Consortium's strictures, a reputation that has drawn both loyalty and dangerous attention.
