Quirks

A battered Solamnic shield nailed above the hearth is often the target of drunken dares. The tavern's house dogs — a brindled mastiff and a fleet hound — patrol the floor and will snatch unattended purses. A low whistle from the bar is the unspoken signal to staff that trouble is brewing; many regulars will 'help settle' matters for a price.

Whispers say the shield above the hearth once belonged to a minor Solamnic commander who disappeared during a skirmish near the High Clerist’s Tower.
